Build Your List
I made a lot of mistakes when I first started my online business however not building my list wasn’t 1 of them. Unfortunately using the wrong autoresponder service was.
You see, like many I started with a free service and it worked well. Unfortunately when I was ready to move to a paid service I lost most of my subscribers.
My 2nd mistake was when I moved my list and went with the least expensive service I could find. What I didn’t know at the time was that while I was saving money I was also not getting most of my messages through.
When I discovered that my messages were being blocked by many mail service providers I then made my 3rd mistake. Still trying to save money I moved my list to another cheap autoresponder service.
The service I chose for this move did have a decent deliverary rate and had been in existance for several years. Unfortunately the CAN-SPAM act made it too expensive for them to continue providing their good service so rather than raise their rates they went out of business.
When I moved my list the third time I went to an autoresponder service that was provided as part of 1 of my online memberships. And although it was just a basic service with no real training or features I was happy with it for a couple of years until …
They lost my entire subscriber list!
So in the first 5 years online I moved my list 4 times and lost 80% or more of my subscribers with every move.
Now I am using Aweber. They may cost a little more but I’ve learned you get what you pay for when it comes to autoresponders.
So learn from my mistakes and go with a reputable and reliable autoresponder service when you start building your list. There are several good ones available however I chose Aweber and am happy I did.
To Your Success,
Susan
